Below you will find the results of my having challenged myself for a number of days to write a short story with a beginning and middle and an end inside of 30 minutes. Here is what I came up with. I hope you like it.
Captain Wrongway Rabinowicz yanked the needle off the copy of Cannonball Adderley Quintet in Chicago and grabbed the mic. His voice reverberated throughout the craft.
“Well, cats and kittens, you were right. That was LaGuardia we was flyin’ over. I was distracted at the time, and now it appears we’re over The Atlantic Ocean. We’re also flat broke in term of the ol’ petroleum. Like Gerry Mulligan, we’re gonna improvise.”
The stewardesses adjusted their leotards.
“Tighten up, your wighats!” said Wrongway. “We’re going down.”
